Fundraising and Donations

To complete the cycleway, we will rely on funding from the government and major grant-giving bodies. To secure such major funding we need to demonstrate our proposals are not only feasible, but ready for implementation – in other words ’shovel ready’. We can achieve much through the time and professional expertise of our volunteers. But we still need funds to undertake technical surveys, engage further expert advice, apply for planning permissions, and undertake minor repairs or upgrades (for example display boards) on sections already in place.

In brief, we need to maintain a “fighting fund” of some thousands of pounds, in order to secure the millions needed to build the cycleway. We raise some of this from the sale of Heritage Way guide books, but that’s not enough!

All donations (which can be gift-aided), large or small, will help us to achieve our aims.
